All About Kiki

Having always had a love of music, my first job was Saturday girl at the local (now de-funct) independent record store over a decade ago. This is where I read my first issue of Big Cheese magazine which confirmed I wanted to write.
Later on I went to uni (after a stint on tour as merch girl) and ended up just writing about counter-insurgency and Greek warfare and the music aspect got left by the way-side. I've been lucky enough to have written for Big Cheese and Alter The Press and interview some of my favourite bands.


Factoids
The furthest I've been to see a band was from London to Baltimore, MD - I flew, I took a coach, a metro, a MARC train, walked and got a taxi. I saw Senses Fail and New Found Glory. I went alone and It rained but I made a friend.
The best show I've been to was either New Found Glory/International Superheroes of Hardcore @ Birmingham Academy or New Found Glory/The Starting Line/Finch @ Southampton Guildhall. Rx Bandits are always amazing live - no one can compare to them!
I love the University of Florida Gators (my old university).

My hero is Tony Robinson.
I geek out over the American Civil War & WWI.
